Le All-Star Game de la National Basketball Association (NBA) est un match annuel de basket -ball . C’est l’événement principal du NBA All-Star Weekend . À l’origine, le All-Star Game comportait un format basé sur la conférence, avec une équipe composée de tous les basketteurs les mieux classés de la Conférence Est et une autre équipe d’étoiles de la Conférence Ouest . Avant le NBA All-Star Game 2018, la NBA a changé le format pour présenter deux équipes dirigées par le meilleur votant de chaque conférence. Douze joueurs – cinq partants et sept réserves – de chaque conférence sont choisis parmi ce qui était autrefois un groupe de 120 joueurs – 60 joueurs de chaque conférence avec 24 gardes et 24 frontcourts ( attaquants et centres)—inscrit sur les bulletins de vote par un panel d’écrivains sportifs et de diffuseurs à tous les joueurs actifs. Les partants sont choisis par une combinaison de fans, de médias et de joueurs actuels. Les fans peuvent voter en utilisant une variété de plateformes en ligne et représentent 50 % des voix, les médias et les joueurs actuels représentant chacun 25 %.
