Do I need to watch Alien vs Predator before Prometheus?
Prometheus, as an earlier answer says, is not exactly a prequel, but a story set at a chronologically earlier time-frame, in the same universe. I’d say that if you *ever* do intend to watch the Alien movies, watch them (at least the first two, at any rate) *before* watching Prometheus.
